More than 10,000 runners, joggers, walkers and athletes in wheelchairs will take to the Jersey Shore streets as part of the 15th annual New Jersey Marathon Festival. Events include a Marathon, Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, and Saturday Kids and Family Events, plus world-class courses designed for speed, great area restaurants and attractions, and amazing oceanfront scenery. The Expo and kids races are on April 29-30, and the main races are on May 1. Registration: www.njmarathon.org.
The picturesque course runs through the diverse neighborhoods and business districts of our Host City, Long Branch, and neighboring: Monmouth Beach, Oceanport, Deal, Allenhurst, Loch Aurbor, Asbury Park & Ocean Grove. The New Jersey Marathon and Running Festival benefits several causes, which include The Ladacin Network, Autism Family Times and Kick Cancer Overboard (KCO).
