This class is an intermediate course and it is intended for students who have a background in basic Brazilian Portuguese of at least 40 hours. This class emphasizes oral and written communication skills, and by the end of this program, the student will be able to carry day-by-day conversations and will have solid conversation skills. This class will cover: pronunciation; grammar (reflexive pronouns, indefinite pronouns; comparisons; superlative; diminutive); verb conjugation (future, imperfect, compound tenses); vocabulary (idioms, popular expressions, sayings), culture (here we start reading about Brazilian history and culture). Also, conversation structures will be used in the class. THE INSTRUCTOR WILL BE SPEAKING PORTUGUESE ALMOST THE WHOLE CLASS. This class runs for 8 weeks, and meets once a week for 2 hours. The instructor for this class is a native Brazilian of Spanish ascendance, who has taught Portuguese and Spanish in different capacities for over 6 years.
