Q: Is this a convention?
A: No, not really. It's more of a gathering - a happening, if you will. If a formal classification must be made, it is an open studio event. We are hosting these events in spaces we use for the creation of comics and the shipping of merchandise. We're excited to share them with you!
Q: How much does admission cost?
A: Admission is completely free. There is no cost to attend, and no formal registration. Just get here and prepare for fun! If you'd like to RSVP, though, it would really help us get an idea for the number of people coming. You can do so here, on Facebook. Thanks!
Q: Will there be things to buy?
A: There will be a wide variety of webcomics merchandise available from our fine studios, including shirts and books typically available at Dumbrella and Topatoco. There will also be merchandise from many of our guests. The site will be updated with such wonderful things as the event draws nearer.
Q: I'm not a cartoonist. Can I attend?
A: Yes! You're encouraged to do so, in fact.
Q: I AM a cartoonist. Can I attend?
A: Absolutely! The more cartoonists the better. Since the venue is small and our own, there is no table space available. But if you'd like to be listed on the website as a cartoonist in attendance, we'll be happy to showcase you! Send Meredith an e-mail with your name, geographical origin and website.
Q: Won't I be horrifically overwhelmed by the sheer number of webcartoonists to schmooze with?
A: Yes. Yes you will.
