New Digital Collage Workshops! November 19, 2006

This month in conjunction with our new show Opening Dec 1st!
Like the spice will be offering two Fantastic Collage Workshops!

These workshop will explore scanning techniques with a variety of mediums, to Create your own digital collages utilizing the program Adobe Photoshop.
Some of the topics we will cover will include cutting, pasting, layering techniques, saving your documents, and printing.

Along with the hands on instruction two photo quality prints are included in this four hour workshop. All other materials will be provided.
All finished collages will be considered for our student gallery to be shown @ Like the spice in the December-January exhibition:

"Assemblage, Bricolage, and Collage."
This group exhibition showcases contemporary artists reassembling current concepts and materials into multidimensional mixed media compositions. Featuring the works of Thomas Keeley, Micah Danges, Dominic Albo, Treasure Frey, Michael Krynski, Michiel Sanders, Steven Pauley, Seth Cohen, Jason Head and more.

Then Saturday November 18th Marks our first In-Depth Photo Retouching Workshop!
Photo Retouching Workshop:
A six hour intensive course with an in-depth overview of photo retouching. Using Adobe photoshop, we will go over basic retouching tools, and learn how to restore damaged images, eliminate color casts, and remove imperfections on image/skin.
Other topics will include using layers for expert retouching, layer blending, and changing the color and pattern of objects.

A working knowledge of basic photoshop is necessary. This class is geared towards photographers, graphic designers, or anyone who would like an in-depth understanding of retouching or restoring photos.

Led by industry professional, Carol Tessitore.
