New Developments in Management Research: Entrepreneurship

Co-organizers: José Mata (FE-Nova) and Richard Locke (MIT Sloan)

The Lisbon-Sloan Seminar Series is a joint initiative developed by MIT Sloan, FCEE-Católica, FE-Nova, ISCTE and ISEG as part of the MIT|Portugal Program in Management. It is intended to strengthen links among faculty from MIT Sloan and Portuguese business schools who share similar research interests.

During these two days two days, a group of faculty and researchers from the Sloan-MIT and several Portuguese schools, will be discussing current research in Entrepreneurship.

At the end of the first day, there will be an open keynote lecture, where Professor Edward Roberts will present his view on “Creating a Climate for Entrepreneurship in Portugal”.

Professor Roberts is a long-time expert on entrepreneurial endeavors, both from an academic perspective, and as an active entrepreneur, being co-founder, board member and angel investor in many high-tech start-ups.

The public lecture will take place at the Auditório do ISCTE/INDEG, on June 11, from 18:30 to 19:30.
