The Las Cruces Museum of Art is pleased to announce two new summer classes – one for adults and the other for youths between the ages of 8 and 12.

“Drawing: The Graphic Novel” is being offered on Tuesdays evenings from 6 to 9pm from June 8 through July 23rd. This adult class will include basic instruction on composing panels, creating backgrounds and drawing figures in believable poses and proportions. This class is open to beginning and advanced students.

“Comic Book Art & Story Pictures’ is being offered from Tuesday through Friday 9:30 to 11:30am during the following weeks: June 1- 4; June 15-18; June 22 – 25; and July 20 – 23. Students ages 8 -12 will learn how to transform their cartoons into stories.

Schedules for all classes are available on line at www.las-cruces.org/museums. Registration is now open and can be completed in person or by mail. Fees are due by Friday at noon before the beginning of a session.
