New Belgium Urban Assault Ride March 25, 2012

The entire city of Richmond will be the backdrop for the New Belgium Urban Assault Ride, a bicycle-based scavenger hunt directing riders throughout the River City to search for clues.
At each checkpoint, riders will dismount their cycles, complete an obstacle course on foot and then re-board their bikes to reach the next waypoint. Announced sites include Pibby’s Bike and Skate, Lamplighter Coffee, Humphrey Calder Community Garden and Holden Rhodes Stone House at Forest Hill Park. Two more mystery checkpoints will be added to keep things interesting.
But the occasion isn’t only about braving traffic and beating each other’s times. The proceeds from the local Urban Assault Ride event will benefit the Richmond Cycling Corps and Richmond Area MORE.
