New Art Club present The Notcracker - Not just another Christmas Show December 11, 2008

Comedy dance theatre duo Pete Shenton and Tom Roden, aka New Art Club, present their alternative to The Nutcracker…



Ruminating on the meaning of Christmas, the meaning of ruminating on the meaning of Christmas and the meaning of ruminating on the meaning of Christmas presents (futures and pasts). It is an unashamedly silly deconstruction of previous Christmas stories and a serious reconstruction of a new one.



It’s chocked full of Christmas dances, Christmas philosophy, Christmas disaster and the triumph of good over evil – whatever that means. It’s a Christmas show for our age; a show about greed, double crossing… dinnertime rows, the ghost of Christmas present and angels treading where fools fear to tread.



The show is suitable for children aged 10 and over, but we’re not checking passports!
