New and Vintage Music for Two Pianos May 16, 2011

Tufts composer/pianists Donald Berman and John McDonald will present a program of works for two pianos from the twentieth century and today. The concert will feature a Fromm Foundation-sponsored world premiere of a new work by Arthur Levering, entitled Partite sopra Ciaccona. The concert will also feature a recuperation of repertoire by Aaron Copland (arranged for two pianos by John Kirkpatrick), a premiere of a composition by John McDonald, and works by Theodore Chanler and Stefan Anderson.
