New American Playwrights Project: Nell Gwyn August 21, 2009

'Nell Gwyn' is the story of a young, illegitimate Yorkshire wash woman in the 1660s who, under the tutelage of one of the foremost actors of the time, captures the attention-and, eventually, the hearts-of all of London, the King included. This play was written by Fred C. Adams, one of the two playwrights selected for this year's New American Playwrights Project series. Directed by Brian Vaughn
