Mashups move beyond music when Dating for Nerds and 2nd Story pair up for an evening of literary mingling for smart singles.
Four unattached storytellers each share a humorous or poignant tale of dating misadventures with musical accompaniment. Singles get to know each other by rotating seats throughout the evening and exchanging their own anecdotes. Each storyteller also joins the tables to meet the attendees whenever he or she is not performing.
Includes a cocktail and literary-themed activities, trivia and giveaways.
The lineup features: Theatre Seven of Chicago’s Margot Bordelon; Barrel of Monkeys’ Matt Miller; novelist Doug Whippo; and 2nd Story’s director of story development, Kim Morris. Lifeline Theatre’s Dorothy Milne directs the performances. Music by DJ Claudette Perez.
