Course Outline
This one-day workshop is aimed at Teachers, Classroom Assistants and anyone working with deaf children and young people in an educational setting. Participants will have the opportunity to view and test the latest developments in FM Radio Aid Systems, take advantage of the expertise of the NDCS technical staff, and improve their own knowledge of the technology currently available.

Content
The programme itself is flexible and will concentrate on the particular needs of the course delegates. Key points of focus will include:

- An introduction to the FM Radio Aid systems currently available in the UK

- Hands-on experience of using Radio Aids including: direct input; neck-loops; TMX; wireless BTE receivers

- The subjective testing of FM Systems and basic fault-finding

- Using Radio Aids with Cochlear Implants and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Hearing Aids

- The opportunity to ask questions on how to improve your own provision

The fee for this one-day workshop plus lunch is £75 (+VAT) per person. The day is designed to be very interactive and so places will be limited to just 12 delegates. This will ensure that everyone benefits from the practical teaching sessions.
