Native Universe: Language and Lands of the First American Peoples February 23, 2012

Explore Native American cultures in a variety of geographic regions of the Americas. Join VMFA’s ancient American art curator on a tour of the special exhibition Native American Art: The Robert and Nancy Nooter Collection. The workshop experience continues with an illustrated discussion of native food, clothing, shelter, climate, and environment and early contact with Europeans. Hands-on activities feature maps and a variety of classroom adventures.
