Native Medicinal Plants of California June 20, 2009

Join us as we explore many of the more common (and lesser known) plants used in Western American herbalism, with a focus on historical as well as modern use. The morning session will highlight the basic taxonomical and phytochemical characteristics of selected medicinal plants. After lunch we will go on an herb walk to observe many of the medicinal plants found growing around Heather Farm, while discussing their uses in treating many common ailments.
