National Pigeon Day June 13, 2009

In the New York Bird Club's continued commitment to promote the positive portrayal of pigeons, it will hold its 2nd annual National Pigeon Day to commemorate Cher Ami and other carrier pigeons who served humanity during times of war and unrest.
