The 'Halloween Spooktacular is a variation on the regular improv comedy show, complete with Halloween-themed subjects, spooky games and "an ending so bizarre that it will be discussed until Thanksgiving." It's sort of a combination of 'Friday the 13th' meets 'Whose Line is it Anyway?' The National Comedy Theatre offers competitive improvisational comedy played just like a sport. Two teams in uniform go head-to-head on stage in a battle for laughs, with a referee overseeing the action. An average of 7 to 10 games are played during a match, drawn from a repertoire of over 200 improv games.
