19 year old singer/songwriter Natalia Lafourcade, obtained 3 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS LATINOAMERICA 2003 in the category: Best Latin Pop Album, Best Pop Artist and Best New Artist-Mexico. Her album was released earlier in 2003. She is Platinum in Mexico and having a huge success in Spain.
The album was written by Lafourcade when she was 17 years old. She has been touring with her band La Fourquetina all over the world including a recent visit to Japan where she is critically acclaimed.

Lafourcade is considered a breakthrough for her originality and her powerful lyrics mixed with different rhythms ranging from bossa nova to rock, pop and drum n bass. The New York Times said: "Beyond the language barrier, she could be Mexico's answer to Nelly Furtado." The Miami Herald stated: "In a culture where prepackaged pop stars are even more of a norm than in the United States, Lafourcade's unaffected character and affecting, original songs have hit a chord with Mexico's enormous younger generation,"
