Naperville Community Gardeners invite the public to a program on "Worm Composting." The program is free and follows the monthly meeting of Naperville Community Gardeners.

Amber Gribben of Urban Worm Girl will present the program. Urban Worm Girl aims to educate the community on composting kitchen waste using the wisdom and efficiency of red worms. According to Urban Worm Girl, “Through the simple, clean, and odorless process of worm composting, we can each be reminded of the interconnectedness of all living things. Engaging in the process of worm composting not only provides us with a rich fertilizer for our gardens and houseplants, but it also minimizes waste and maximizes the return of nutrients to the earth. Worm composting is an incredibly efficient way to convert kitchen "waste" into nutrient rich food for the earth. Not only is this form of recycling easy, odorless, and educational for the kids, it is a way to be a responsible citizen of the earth.”
