Presenting her book ‘Fightig Bob La Follette: The Righteous Reformer,’ Nancy Unger will discuss the life of progressive politico Bob La Follette.

La Follette left enduring legacies as a US Representative, governor, and US senator, including the direct election of senators, child labor laws, environmental protections, women’s suffrage, and workers’ compensation. He led the opposition to American entry into World War I, and made a remarkable bid for the presidency as an independent in 1924, garnering 17% of the vote.
