ALL AGES

Undeniably a political punk band, Naked Aggression formed in Madison, WI in 1990 to protest the gulf war. The two primary members, vocalist Kirsten Patches and guitarist Phil Suchomel, relocated to Oakland and finally to Los Angeles. Between ’91 and ’98 the band released four albums and tons of compilation tracks and singles. Film Director Penelope Spheeris approached the band to appear in the controversial Decline of Western Civilization Part III, which also featured a soundtrack by Suchomel. All of this positive energy and forward momentum was stopped cold when Suchomel passed away due to complications arising from a lifelong bout with chronic asthma in 1998. After five years of mourning, Kirsten reformed NA in 2003, not coincidentally coinciding with Bush Jr.’s reprise of daddy’s war. Not surprisingly, the new lineup dived into the familiar Naked Aggression work ethic of much recording and even more touring.
