Nad Ninad-Guided Listening Sessions on Abdul Karim Khan December 17, 2008

Lovers of Hindustani classical music can enjoy some fine recordings from the NCPA's archives at the Experimental Theatre. This session highlights the music of the Kirana Gharana founders, Ustad Abdul Karim Khan (1872-1937) and his nephew, Ustad Abdul Wahid Khan. Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan, who hails from this illustrious family, will give a demonstration of the style, which will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Pandit Arvind Parikh.
