In the year 2053, in the first of author J.D. Robb’s futuristic police series, NYPD Lieutenant Eve Dallas seeks a murderer who kills prostitutes with old fashioned weapons: hand guns. The first of three victims is the granddaughter of a prominent politician whose behind-the-scenes dealings makes it difficult for Eve to do her job.
