The penultimate performance of Joshua "Beemish" Johnson's Songwriter in Residence at the Bazaar Cafe, featuring the Dull Richards, My Beemish Boy, and a virtual EP release.

The Dull Richards are a 4 pieces string band who venture into any genre that lineup implies, and even a few that you wouldn't expect. From bluegrass stompers to gypsy waltzes, the Dull Richards will make you move through sheer force of will. Featuring no... fewer than 2 local open mic hosts, 2 genuine southerners and 2 unicorns (aka bay area natives)* the Dull Richards are a standing tribute to the strength of the San Francisco songwriting community.

*for those doing the math, you should note that some of these categories overlap.

My Beemish Boy have been operating under the erroneous impression that WTF stands for 'what the folk.' With material ranging from old time ballads built on a lone instrument and harmony singing to folk electronic texture pieces My Beemish Boy pushes the boundaries of what an acoustic performance means. Tuesday the 18th will mark the digital release of their first 3 song virtual ep. Available at their bandcamp the day of the show.

The Bazaar Cafe is a Richmond District Institution. Half Cafe, half non-profit art/music/poetry space, it has long been a launching point for singer songwriters in the San Francisco scene. Tuesday nights are reserved for a songwriter in residence, wherein a local musician is invited to book an entire month's worth of shows. Come out to the fog and share some curry with us.
