Mutemath is an alternative rock band from New Orleans that formed in 2003. The group incorporates emotive vocals and hip-hop styled beats which are fueled by sample-like guitars and "keytars," a homemade instrument (a Theremin-inspired guitar) and other random gadgets. The group consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Paul Meany, drummer Darren King, guitarist Todd Gummerman and bassist Roy Mitchell-Cardenas.
