MuslimFest 2007 August 10, 2007

Billed by the organizers as a 'celebration of the best in Muslim arts and entertainment', the event features over 50 local and international artists who showcase their talent in various areas.

Concerts featuring popular Muslim artists, comedy shows, a multicultural bazaar, a kids carnival and “Adam’s World” a live puppet show constitute some of the fun things one can expect at MuslimFest.

A Night of Comedy and Poetry

The main attraction at MuslimFest 2007, a Night of Comedy and Poetry will be a place where tears come with laughter, and the spirit rises with the beauty of poetry. This year Preacher Moss, Amir Sulaiman, Aman Ali and Babi Ali team up to bring you an unprecedented spectacule for the first time in Canada!

Preacher Moss and his friends performed to a sold out audience in 2005 and hope to entertain you again this year.

-Peter Sanders' Photo Exhibit: [NEW] Introducing for the first time in Toronto, in collaboration with British High Commission of Canada, MuslimFest will showcase a spectacular collection of photographs by Peter Sanders, an internationally-renowned photographer of the Muslim world.

- Rising Talents Show: [NEW] For the first time in Canada, a show dedicated to dazzling young Muslim talent chosen from a pool of applicants!

- Adam's World Live Puppet Show: The ever popular MuslimFest exclusive is back. This time it will be more intimate in the RBC Theater!

- Sister's Extravaganza: All new concept, lots of prizes and lots of fun!

- FilmFestival: Baba Ali, producer of Ummah Films, talks about the Reminder series.

- International Art Exhibit: Eye-opening, inspiring pieces from all over the world!

- Interactive Workshops: Comedy Writing with Preacher Moss, Drumming, Photography and Calligraphy!

- Outdoor Workshops: [NEW] Water Coloring & Pencil Sketching with Dr. Ibrahim Shalaby

- Drumming Circles: [NEW] Br. Dale (Jamal) Marcell & the Fletcher Valve Drummers are back! And this time you can bang on those drums with them!

- FREE Outdoor Stage: [NEW] Performances by comedians, musicians and spoken word artists happen throughout the day on the stage outside.

- Youth Sporting Events: [NEW] In the mood for some 3-on-3? Now you can shoot hoops and much more at MuslimFest!

- Pony Rides: [NEW] Who's up first! Get in line, because the Organizers of the Toronto Zoo are setting up at MuslimFest for all day pony rides! The fun never stops at MuslimFest, Yeeee haw!

- Kids' Carnival: Jumping castles, obstacle challenges & new Inflatable rides!
