Mounted in celebration of Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union Professor Raimund Abraham's singular work as an architect and educator, the 'Musikerhaus' exhibition features full size reproductions of selected drawings from the construction documents for the Musikerhaus project, a residence and rehearsal space he designed for four musicians in Hombroich, Germany. The free exhibition will also include: photographs of the construction process taken by Professor Abraham and photographer Ute Langanky, a site model of the Insel Hombroich missile base, a site that was formerly used by NATO and was later turned into the grounds for a cultural center that includes the Musikerhaus, architectural study models of the Musikerhaus design, a new architectural model of the Musikerhaus project fabricated by Situ Studio with the assistance of Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture students, and selected work of Professor Abraham's students completed during his tenure at The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture. The exhibit takes place at The Arthur A. Houghton Jr. Gallery.
