Mounted in celebration of Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union Professor Raimund Abraham’s singular work as an architect and educator, the Musikerhaus exhibition features full size reproductions of selected drawings from the construction documents for the Musikerhaus project, a residence and rehearsal space he designed for four musicians in Hombroich, Germany. The free exhibition will also include:

· photographs of the construction process taken by Professor Abraham and photographer Ute Langanky,

· a site model of the Insel Hombroich missile base, a site that was formerly used by NATO which was later turned into the grounds for a cultural center that includes the Musikerhaus,

· architectural study models of the Musikerhaus design,

· a new architectural model of the Musikerhaus project fabricated by Situ Studio with the assistance of Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture students, and

· selected work of Professor Abraham’s students completed during his tenure at The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture.

In conjunction with the exhibition, on March 8 at 6 PM in The Rose Auditorium, Horst Kappauf, the structural engineer of the Musikerhaus, will present the project in a free lecture open to the public entitled: House for Musicians: A Great Architecture by Raimund Abraham.
