Program: A celebratory concert of chamber music from this richest of musical repertoires . . . with a twist you are unlikely to find anywhere else during this significant ‘Mexican’ year.

Our program features Mexican music old, recent and new with selections by Manuel Ponce, Juan Luis, Juan Hernandez, Juan Pablo Contreras and others . . . Improvisations on old and exotic instruments that form introductions, interludes, new horizons, and evocations of lost time. . . A musical feast full of surprise and delight.
Repertoire includes Responsorio for bassoon & percussion and Calixto for solo violin by Mario Lavista, Cuarteto No.3 (for Tenor and string quartet) by David Hernández Ramos, Scherzo Zapateado for string quartet and 4 Nocturnes (orchestrated by Mark Menzies) by Juan Pablo Contreras and [discissum] for string quartet by Mauricio Rodriguez.
