three years ago while at burning man festival, pary williamson noticed the power of practicing yoga at night with live music. it was a mystical, primal and awakening experience. she wanted to recreate that experience back home and launched first fridays at tranquil space. depending on the season first fridays offer a different theme, such as persian new year, summer solstice, hip opening, and more. celebrate the art of yoga and life while bringing together poetry, music (live when possible), movement, breath and consciousness. this evening celebration has featured a traditional persian cetarist, tablas, electric sitar, and even thievery corporation's rob myers. join pary for this sacred journey that fuses yoga, prana, and music. cost: $35, $30 online (or get a workshop passport: four 2 hour workshops taught by a tranquil space teacher for $99).
