Music Without Borders: Lura and The Megitza Quartet July 9, 2009

Fall in love with Lura’s unique musical tradition, embracing French Afro-pop, Brazilian rhythms and earthy traditional African music.  From the islands of Cape Verde, her music has a streetwise, urban sensuality, infused with the passionate roots of Africa. 

Local Eastern European folk and gypsy group, The Megitza Quartet, will open for Lura.  Unfortunately, Chiwoniso, originally scheduled to perform, will not appear due to travel difficulties.
