Music Makes Me Dance at Westfield Santa Anita October 13, 2011

Join Westfield Santa Anita for “Music Makes Me Dance” – for the month of October the Westfield Family program will feature music- and dance-themed Westfield Family Fun Days, kid and family-friendly activities celebrating music and instruments.

On October 13th kids will design their own guitars to take home, and be read to from “Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig” by David Ira Rottenberg and Lesley Anderson, as well as “Charlie Parker Played Be Bop” by Christopher Raschka. Along with this book, kids will be treated to a few Charlie Parker tunes, and as always, a healthy snack.

October 27th will feature story time with books “Ella Sets The Stage” by Carmela D'amico and Steve D'amico, and “The Maestro Plays” by Bill Martin Jr and Vladimir Radunsky. Kids will design their own instruments - rainsticks and tambourines – and enjoy another healthy snack.
