Music in Schools Today (MUST), a Bay Area charity supporting local public school music programs for grades K-12, presents the 16th Annual Stars on Staff Celebrity Waiter Luncheon on Saturday, April 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ana Mandara Restaurant in Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco, California. The luncheon provides attendees the opportunity to mingle with members of the Bay Area music and educational communities and to be served by and seated with local celebrities.

Celebrity waiters will include former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, comedian Michael Capozzola, KTVU News' Joe Fonzi, author and SFGate columnist Leah Garchik, singer- songwriter Eoin Harrington, SF Opera tenor Brian Jagde, GRAMMY(R) Award-winning recording engineer Leslie Ann Jones, Nob Hill Gazette Publisher Lois Lehrman, KDFC Radio personality Dianne Nicolini, KFOG Radio's Renee Richardson, KGO News' Don Sanchez and KDFC Radio personality Hoyt Smith. Comedian Bob Sarlatte will serve as the event's emcee, and ABC7 News' Dan Ashley will be auctioneer. Musical entertainment will be provided by Eoin Harrington, GRAMMY(R) Award winner David Pack, PUSH featuring Dan Ashley, Alma Desnuda and other local artists. Bay Area music icon Dick Bright and Larry Batiste, producer and musical director for the GRAMMY pre-telecast, will serve as Musical Directors for the day.

Despite extensive research indicating that music instruction supplies intellectual, emotional and physical components critical to children's development, music and arts programs continue to be the victims of budget cuts. MUST combats this trend with programs resistant to budget slashing, serving over 60,000 children and youth annually and advocating restoring music as an essential principle of pre-K through 12 education.
