Mushroomhead's melodic alt-metal sound mixes hip-hop, punk and Gothic rock as well as industrial and techno. While the Bay Area group Psyclon Nine's early efforts are generally categorized as aggrotech, their more recent material has incorporated a disparate set of influences, notably black metal, creating a more accessible and inventive output.
