Did you miss Museums and the Web this year? Wondering what happened? Join us for the first-ever Museum Tech Pecha Kucha where attendees of the Museums and the Web (MW) conference in April will present their takeaways in less than 7 minutes. We will meet in the Stevenson Lecture Theatre at the British Museum.

This informal get-together is open to anyone interested in museums, technology and the social web; you do not have to present to attend. In an effort to continue the momentum inspired by MW2009, several presenters will share their personal highlights from the conference in pecha kucha style (http://tr.im/mgaA - 20 slides at 20 seconds each for a maximum length of 6 minutes 40 seconds).

Our special guest is Daniel Incandela, Director of New Media at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, whose team has produced a number of exciting applications including the recently launched ArtBabble. Other speakers include: Gail Durbin (V&A), Silvia Filippini Fantoni (British Museum & Sorbonne University), Philip Poole (British Museum), Jon Pratty (Digital Publishing Consultant), Mia Ridge (Science Museum), Frankie Roberto (Rattle), Dan Zambonini (Box UK).

After presentations and discussion, we'll head to a local pub (Truckles) for a pint (8.30-10pm). Bring your friends, partners and museum colleagues from other departments and institutions. Again, everyone is welcome whether you have attended MW or not. No need to register, just show up!
