Cuisine and murder combine to bring a full evening of entertainment to fun seekers. Murder at the Mardi Gras is a brand new interactive, murder-mystery, musical with songs celebrating New Orleans heritage. As special guests to this Masquerade Ball, you (the audience) become famous celebrities, well-read literary geniuses, members of high society, suspects, and detectives to a fresh new murder mystery. Enjoy an exquisite dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House, while you watch, participate and solve the Murder at the Mardi Gras.

All this takes place Saturday, February 18 at 6:30PM at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in St. Paul Square, 1170 Commerce St. The evening includes Ruth’s Chris’ delectable cuisine, show and non-alcoholic beverages (also includes tax and gratuities), all for $88.50 per person.. Each guest will get a mardi gras mask or lorgnette to add to the festivity of the event. Guests are invited to dress in their Mardi Gras finery for beads and prizes!

Set in 1932 New Orleans, Huey B. Big, the Governor of Louisiana, knows one way to celebrate Mardi Gras, by having a lavishly grand party at the Governor's Mansion. Prestigious guest include the beautiful up and coming Hollywood starlet, Dorothy LaLess. An actress with a bitter tongue, ready to do anything to reach the top. Famous Louisiana Chef Emeril Lagassey, who knows how to stir the pot and cook up a 5 star gumbo. Literary giant North Carolina Williams, a man who prides himself in all things New Orleans and always relishes the chance to show off his brilliance. The new to the writing world Anne Rice-a-roni, trying her best to bite her way into becoming the next Bram Stoker of novels. All of New Orleans' elite rich and famous are there to celebrate, but when the mysterious Marie Laveau shows up, unannounced, the masquerade party is turned upside down and no one is safe from the "voodoo that she do so well".
