Art-At-Lunch Lecture (FREE)
Topic: Mural Arts: Jonathan Laidacker, Dave McShane
Location: The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts
Date: 2/4/09
Time: Noon-1:00pm

Description: Most Philadelphians walk past one, if not several, full-scale murals each day, without knowing much about the artists who create them. Jonathan Laidacker and David McShane, both veteran artists of the Mural Arts Program, share the process of creating a mural from start to finish, elucidating the community partnerships, creative processes and neighborhood logistics of bringing to fruition one of Philadelphia’s most original cultural expressions.

The Art-at-Lunch series of talks on American art and culture take place every Wednesday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Bring your lunch or purchase it in the Academy Café and enjoy discussions and lectures with scholars and artists covering a variety of topics related to the PAFA’s exhibitions, collections, and areas of interest.

Art-at-Lunch is free to the public. For more information, contact PAFA at 215-972-2069 or visit our website: www.pafa.org/418.
