Audiences may not be familiar with the name Jerry Nelson, but as a core member of Jim Henson's troupe of Muppeteers, he performed hundreds of assorted characters during a career that spanned six decades. Nelson, who passed away earlier this year, worked on everything from 'Sesame Street' to 'The Muppet Show' to 'Fraggle Rock,' bringing life to Muppets like the Count, Herry Monster, Camilla the chicken, Kermit's nephew Robin, and Gobo Fraggle. Muppet fan website ToughPigs.com celebrates Nelson's life and career with a special screening of Nelson's best and most memorable Muppet work. The event will include a special sing-along screening of the perennial Henson holiday classic 'Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas,' in which Nelson played the title character. The fun continues with clips and songs from various Muppet episodes, movies, and specials both beloved and obscure, plus plenty of audience participation, with cool giveaways, drink specials and more.
