Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs June 30, 2007

During the 1870s, various Egyptian antiquities suddenly began to appear on the black market in Paris, New York, and London. A handful of people in the world who could decipher hieroglyphs knew that these were no ordinary treasures, for they bore the marks of kings. It became apparent that someone had found and raided the tomb of a Pharaoh of ancient Egypt. With the discovery of the Rosetta Stone, and the resulting decipherment of hieroglyphs, the interest in Egypt and its hidden secrets had grown. But, in spite of all of the energy and money expended to date, no one had found the remains of a Pharaoh.
