Traditionally prayer flags promote peace, compassion, strength and wisdom. They are hung outside the home or at sites of spiritual significance. Artist Joseph L.Vasile and Phagyab Rinpoche will teach participants the history of Prayer Flags and lead a hands-on workshop where each person will create their own. The flags will join together with flags created by Vasile’s students and eventually travel the world, growing as more people participate; and offering people’s visions for peace. The Prayer Flags will next go to the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery, AL. The program will end with a Prayer Flag Ceremony.
