Multi City Corporate Football Tournament. The Corporate 5s event was first conceptualized and started in Bangalore on 2001 and today has grown to cover 7 cities Bangalore , Hyderabad , Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi . SPT Sports is conducting the 9th edition of this event starting 1st August with Hyderabad and taking it to the 7 cities mentioned. The regional winners are flown to Bangalore for the Mage National Finals and the National winners are awarded an International Holiday for the entire team. Last years winners, Team HDFC Bank, Mumbai were awarded a holiday in Sri Lanka . The event is played across 1 weekend at each venue with entries limited to the first 40 teams in each city, there is a special womens category in Bangalore and Mumbai as well. The 2008 event saw 170 corporate teams participating in 7 cities and this year we expect this years event to have over 200 teams. The Kingfisher Corproate 5s has been played on the National level for 4 years now and has grown with each subsequent event both in scale and reach. Title sponsors Kingfisher Premium have been part of this event for the last 7 years, the Presenting Sponsors are ING Life Insurance (3rd year running). The event is held from 1st August to 25th October and the National Finals are scheduled for November 7th-8th, 2009. The event features a unique CEO v/s CELEBRITY match during the national finals which sees eminent personalities from the corporate and celebrity world fighting it out on the football pitch. The National Press Conference is scheduled for 23rd July, 2009 with Mr. Charu Sharma and Ms. Sagarika Ghate as the event brand ambassadors.
