Muak celebrate summer with Rocco Rodamaal at London’s Herbal

London’s clubland is all set to heat up as once again Muak (People Together) return to East London’s ‘Herbal’ on Saturday 5th August.

Playing in the main room Muak welcome Rocco Rodamaal to headline this summer celebration of the best deep, soulful house music. Accompanying him on the night will be Zaki and Manish, Muak’s hosts and founders.

In 1999 Rocco began to cut his production teeth and released his first track, Baby, with Sir James. This was well received to critical acclaim in his native France and also featured on the Universal Records compilation ‘Private Party’. Then in 2001 Rocco and friends launched the Rodamaal Project. Named after each artist involved - David (Portugal), Manoo (France) and Alex (Portugal), their first production, Love Island, was released a year later, on the Jazz-Up imprint. Away from the studio, Rocco has also spent the last two years in Portugal as resident DJ and promoter for various clubs including the ‘Studio’ and ‘Hot Rio’.

Rocco’s international career has seen his reputation for playing quality house music expand throughout France, UK, Italy, Portugal and Eastern Europe and he has benefited from support from top name artists such as Masters at Work, DJ Deep, Terry Hunter Ben Watt and Phil Asher.

Elsewhere in room 2, Free Form Collective will be playing a genre busting set of soulful sun-kissed sounds that take in rare grooves, funk, soul, latin and disco classics. Joining them on the night will be Shack Music’s Soy Mustafa and People Like Us, who will provide the best in deep, soulful house.

Looking forward to another successful Muak party, promoter Zaki said: “it’s going to be a hot one - summer is well and truly here and what better way to celebrate it then with London’s best party crowd listening to some of the best music you’ll hear anywhere this side of Rio!”
