The ASO and the forces of the Adelaide Symphony Chorus, together with leading singers Leanne Kenneally and Michael Lewis, perform Brahms? German Requiem. A work of consolation and humanity, the Requiem contains some of Brahms? most heartfelt writing, bestowing an uplifting grace upon the listener. The famous Unfi nished symphony is Schubert?s best loved work, in which he gives the orchestra long, flowing melodies, displaying his
skill as arguably the greatest composer of song in history.
