Mr. and Mrs. Iyer by Aparna Sen (2002, 115 min.). A conservative Tamil Brahmin woman (Konkana Sensharma) and her baby are helped by a cosmopolitan Muslim photographer (Rahul Bose) as they travel by bus to Calcutta. Their journey is violently disrupted when riots erupt in the area. Posing as a Hindu family, the unlikely threesome attempt to make it to their destination.
