Join us on the last Thursday of August for a free screening of The Color of Pomegranates.

Considered by the likes of Frederico Fellinni, Jean-Luc Godard, and Michelangelo Antonioni to be among the greatest films ever made, Sergei Parajanov's masterpiece is a visual poem based in part on the life of Sayat-Nova, an 18th century Armenian bard. Though critically acclaimed for its use of mesmerizing, wordless tableaux vivants and powe...rful visual symbolism, the film was swiftly censored and banned in the Soviet Union for its allegedly inflammatory content. The film masterfully blends elements of narrative, non-narrative, historical and fictional storytelling.

As always, movie night is 100% free and open to the public. Spread the word, invite a friend!
