Movie Night: PickAxe June 18, 2005

An amazing documentary about the fight to save an Oregon forest from logging. The film follows a group of activists as they blockade a logging road (through an entire winter and 10 feet of snow), set up a ?free state,? confront disgruntled loggers, endure mass arrests, and engage in a 75 day hunger strike. PickAxe is incredibly well put together and very inspiring.
