Manufactured Landscapes is a documentary on the work of renowned photographer Edward Burtynsky. Burtynsky travels extensively and makes large-scale photographs, using an 8x10 camera. His images of factories, quarries and dams, focus on the effects of people altering their country’s environment.

In this documentary, the film maker, Jennifer Baichwal, travels with Burtynsky in China. Using a 16mm format she films Burtynsky at work as he approaches the evidence of China's massive industrial revolution.
