The Mother's of Young Children Clothing and Toy Sale began in 1996 by a few young WEAG mothers who wanted to provide nice things for their children in an econnomical way. The sale has grown into a community event and was recently listed in Richmond Magazine's Best and Worst edition as one of the "best church or community bazaars." The sale is offered each Spring and Fall, consignors are both from the WEAG family and the Richmond community.
With the help of a huge army of volunteers the WEAG gym and fellowship hall are transformed to shopping central for 3 days each March and September. The clothing sale is an outreach to meet the physical needs of young families, many who cannot afford to shop are also provided for through the sale. Although the sale has become extremely successful and popular in the community, our goal has remained to magnify Christ in all that we do. We are a ministry and work hard throughout the year to make sure the sale is focused on blessing families and helping our community. What an awesome short-term missions project for anyone willing to donate their time and talents.
