($15). Current recipients of crazy British hype, London's Bloc Party are the latest dance-y post-punk outfit to require your attention. So, let's talk influences: early Cure, Gang of Four; yes, the usual suspects are accounted for. But wait a minute, cynic ? these aren't your average poseurs. 2004's Bloc Party EP deftly marries call-and-response punk vocals with staccato guitar rhythms and features one of the year's best singles (the sublime "Banquet"). The boys release their debut full-length Silent Alarm in March, and then tour the States extensively, but tonight you can catch them just before the inevitable explosion as they headline Motherf*cker's President's Day Freak-Out, with the usual crew of Michael T, Justine, etc in tow.

Note: Free Red Bull & vodka from 10-11pm. Check the flyer for appropriate attire suggestions.
