Fellow Fan of the Motel,

On Monday, February 21st, we are pleased as punch to be hosting good friend and great comic John Oliver! Right now, while you are thinking about it, would be the time to call the Cafe at (212) 989-9319 for reservations. You know from experience: this show will sell out... and we'll both feel awful if you're not happily at your table when the curtain goes up. Check out this great cast of Motel satiristas, storytellers and stand-ups... and join us, please!

JOHN OLIVER -- John Oliver is a writer and correspondent for "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart." He joined the show in 2006 and at the time of this writing is yet to be fired. As a writer he has been nominated for both Emmys and Writers Guild Awards and he won the Breakout Award at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. The second season of "John Oliver's New York Stand-up Show" is playing on Comedy Central as we speak, er, type.

OPHIRA EISENBERG -- Selected as one of New York Magazine's Top 10 Comics that "Funny People Find Funny, Ophira has appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Fresh Faces of Comedy, VH-1's Best Week Ever and All Access, Fox, E! Channel, the Oxygen Network, and the Discovery Channel. She also had her own 1?2 hour comedy special for CTV’s Comedy Now. Ophira performs regularly in New York and headlines across the US, Canada, and Europe.

DAN ST. GERMAIN -- Dan St. Germain is a 2009 ECNY nominee for Best Emerging Comic. He can be seen on this season of MTV’s World of Jenks, PBS’s The Electric Company, MTV’s New Year’s Eve Bash and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He’s been featured on The College Humor Live standup show at UCB, Spike TV’s Fourth of July online special, Atom.Com, Rate My Bit, and as Kane Phillip’s in Comedy Central.com’s Indecision 2010. You can hear him on WTF with Marc Maron and Sirius Radio.

BOB POWERS -- Bob is a writer. He's written some books. Check them out at bobpowersonline.com. Also, check out his blog, updated often: wwww.girlsarepretty.com. (Modesty is apparently still in fashion inside Bob Powers. You'll like him.) A parenthetical thought attached to a bio... how meta.

ANDY CHRISTIE -- Andy Christie's writing has appeared in The New York Times, in snooty literary journals and in the new Thomas Beller anthology, Lost And Found: Stories From New York. His true stories have been heard on NPR's Cityscape, The Moth Mainstage, Podcast and NPR's The Moth Radio Hour He is the creator and host of The Liar Show. As a matter of fact, if you're looking for him, that's probably where he is right now.

LEAH DUBIE -- A New York City stand up comic, writer and host, she's been called "Smart and Opinionated" by Time Out NY. It's true. You can check. Leah's jokes have been featured alongside naked ladies in Playboy Magazine. Her musings have been heard on FREE FM, Sirius OutQ, The Joey Reynolds Show and broadcast on a broadband channel in the back of NYC cabs. She has performed at the Boston Comedy Festival, Gilda's Club and was a semi-finalist in the NY Comedy Competition.

Here's hoping you can join us for 90 minutes of comedy and camaraderie. Please... call the Cafe at (212) 989-9319 and make your reservations NOW. You, and we, will be so glad you did. And we'll leave the light on for you.
