Program:
Mozart, Schubert, Wolf, Verdi, Niles: songs and spirituals

"A deep, deep, unbelievably deep voice that's lyrical, fluid, and godlike - a miracle voice of endless potential" (Atlanta Journal Constitution on Morris Robinson)

Joining PCMS for his Philadelphia recital debut, the former All-American offensive lineman Morris Robinson is quickly securing his spot as one of the most sought after basses of his generation, offering a voice which has been praised as unique, thrilling, resonant, and dramatic. PCMS is pleased to present a program on Tuesday, November 11 at 8PM which allows Robinson to showcase arias by Mozart and Verdi, lieder of Schubert and Wolf, and a set of spirituals.

Robinson will be joined by Ken Noda, who as a former full-time concert pianist, has performed as soloist with such conductors as Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, and Rafael Kubelik, among others. Noda "captivates the listener with his youthful and impulsive lyricism" (New York Times), a feat which will only compliment Robinson's powerful presence. Currently Noda is the Musical Assistant to James Levine on the Artistic Administration of the Metropolitan Opera.
